Pearl River County Sheriff's Department makes drug arrests

On August 21st, Pearl River County Sheriff Patrol Deputy Bo Penton was traveling north on Highway 43 North when he observed a vehicle operating carelessly. Penton stopped the vehicle as it turned onto Liberty Road.
As he approached the vehicle, Deputy Penton identified the driver as Leah Bunn, age 41, 1004 North Boarder Drive, Bogalusa, LA and Clint Walters, age 26, of 743 Tampa Street, Bogalusa, LA.
While speaking with the suspects, Penton smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. At this time, Deputy Penton detained both suspects and contacted the Pearl River County Narcotic Investigators. During a search of the vehicle, several different drugs were recovered from the vehicle: Adderall, Suboxone, Xanax, marijuana, and paraphernalia.
Bunn was charged with three counts of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, one felony count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Walters was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia.
