POPLARVILLE, Miss. — A blazing week at the plate for No. 14 Pearl River's Cailey Pervel (Carriere; Pearl River Central) has earned her the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Player of the Week award. She is the first Pearl River softball player to win an MACCC Player of the Week award in 2025.

The freshman takes home the award after going 8-for-14 at the plate for an incredible .571 batting average. She smacked three doubles and three homers, driving in eight runs along the way. She also led PRCC in runs scored on the week with six.
Pervel is now second on the team in batting average (.407) and on-base percentage (.468). Her .963 slugging percentage ranks first on the team. She has tallied 24 RBIs, 19 runs, six doubles and eight homers on the year.
